Dream a Big Dream
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." --Jeremiah 29:11
FaithGirLZ excerpt:
God has a plan for your life, and it's a good plan to help you grow stronger and be successful. We sometimes fear God's plan will hurt us, or keep us from having something we truly desire. But we can have hope for the future. God has promised he will meet our needs and give us each what is best.
All girls dream about the future. Maybe you dream of breaking your school's hurdles record or getting the lead in the fall musical. Maybe your career goals include a scholarship to a music school or becoming a scientist to cure cancer. Whatever your dreams are, they may not just be your ideas. God may have placed them in your heart.
Make goals, and take steps to go after them. Trust that your dreams are from God, and ask him to change them if he has a different plan for your life. If he does, you can always trust that his plan is a better one! He's had it all under control from the beginning. "You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed." (Psalm 139:16 NLT)
Because God also gave us free will, begin taking little steps toward reaching your dreams and goals. First, talk to God about them. Ask him to change anything about your goals that he wants to change. Then break your future goals into smaller steps you can begin now. Study. Practice. Learn. Reach for excellence. Then you will be ready to fulfill God's plans to prosper you in the wonderful future that lies ahead.

Did you know...
King David's goal was to build the temple for the Lord? God told him that his offspring would build it instead. Even David had to change his dreams sometimes! (2 Samuel 7)
Girl Talk:
Do you trust God with your dreams? How would you feel if he told you that his dreams for you were different than yours?
God Talk:
Lord, I trust you with my dreams. I know you have a great future for me, and I'm excited about it! Thank you for helping me accomplish my dreams.
Amen.
